★ 5 · Kevin C. · 2009-07-09Based at the Renaissance Golden View which was our hotel so very convenient. They operate 2 dive boats offering diving and snorkling as well as shore diving from the centre. We did 5 days boat diving including Thistlegorm wreck plus a day trip to Dahab by road. Overall great service. Matt the guide was excellent, Boat (Miramar) was clean and crew attentive. Had some great dives - highlights were: - Ras Mohammed - Shark and Yolanda reef in a strong current which attracted huge shoals of snappers, batfish, barracuda etc and big Napoleon Wrasse - Both Thistlegorm dives - Dahab Blue hole (The canyon was reputedly even better but we aborted due to ear problem) the 3 Tiran dives were a bit disappointing and not as I remember them (but not surprising as the last time I dived there was 1985). Only gripe with Dive-In was that they didn't wash and dry your personal gear but there was access to the centre so you could do it yourself. A small minus, though, compared to the generally excellent service. 10 dive package was 180 euros with Thistlegorm and Dahab days 60 euros extra per day. This compared favourably with other prices we were quoted. Would definitely recommend them
