Airbubble

Tucked away in Bischofsheim near Mainz, Germany, Airbubble is a PADI 5 Star IDC dive center that has been part of the local diving scene since Uwe Steinhauer opened its doors in 1990. As both a diving school and an equipment shop, it pairs hands-on instruction with practical gear advice — and Steinhauer brings over 30 years of experience to every diver who walks in.

Courses and what to expect

The Airbubble team is built around a PADI Course Director, alongside PADI Instructors and Divemasters, so course coordination runs from entry level right through to professional training. With an onsite classroom and air fills available, it's a practical home base for working through PADI scuba diving courses. Instruction is offered in German.

Locally, divers head to Vogelstang, while the center's wider connections reach marine life including sharks, whales, turtles, ocean fish and more. With its long-standing roots and full PADI 5 Star credentials, Airbubble suits newcomers looking to start out and certified divers wanting a reliable shop and school close to Mainz.
