Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan · Dive Center
Plan this trip with AI →Baku Scuba Diving and Freediving Center brings the full spread of PADI courses to Azerbaijan, covering almost everything except rebreather-based training. Guiding and travel support round out the offering for those joining diving tours, and instruction is remarkably multilingual — courses run in Azeri, Turkish, Ukrainian, Russian and English, with one instructor also speaking Italian and Dutch.
Most sites on the Absheron peninsula are shallow, averaging just 5–7m, which makes them ideal for freshly certified open water divers with little to worry about. More experienced divers will still find plenty of interest, and those craving depth can arrange trips to the Mingechevir Reservoir or mountain lakes. Narqin Island is among the local dive sites, with sharks, whales, turtles and ocean fish in the mix.
The active season runs from late May to the end of October, with dry suit diving available in colder months. On site you'll find a training pool, classroom, retail shop and dive boat, backed by three PADI instructors — a welcoming base for new and returning divers alike.
