About Blue Water Divers

Blue Water Divers is the longest continually-run dive operator on Grand Turk Island, in the Turks and Caicos Islands. As a PADI 5 Star Dive Resort and the only 100% AWARE dive shop in the Turks and Caicos, this English-speaking center pairs attentive customer service with genuine environmental education — a fit for divers who want their underwater time to come with a conscience.

Diving Grand Turk

With three PADI Instructors on staff, Blue Water Divers offers PADI Scuba Diving, PADI Snorkelling and PADI First Aid (EFR) instruction. The center runs a fleet of two flat-bottomed Carolina Skiffs that pull right up to the beach for easy boarding, and every dive site in the area has its own dedicated one-boat mooring — so only your group will be there.

Some of these sites are home to critically-endangered Elk-horn and Staghorn coral, and from January to April north-Atlantic humpback whales can often be seen right from the beach. All dives run as morning two-tank trips departing daily at 8:30 AM. On-site you'll find a retail shop, air fills and scuba equipment rental.

I've dived with Mitch and Blue Water Divers four times over the past 15 years and plan to return many more times... Mitch and his team always make sure you get the very best diving you can have: they take you to the best sites dependent on the day's conditions; they find out what particularly interests you and try to accommodate that too...so when I asked Dan for turtles and dolphins that's exactly what I got! They will give you as much assistance with your kit as you want/need, and if you want to know about the marine life you see on your dives they can tell you a huge amount. Dive groups are small (max this trip was 5) and the boat trip from the hotel beach to the dive site is seldom more than 10 minutes. I'd recommend Blue Water Divers to new/recently qualified divers right through to confident, experienced subaquatic explorers.
