Checkers

Set on the shore of Tegernsee in Germany, Checkers is a PADI Dive Center with three PADI Instructors and a genuine all-rounder's spirit. It's a dive school, dive base and outdoor centre rolled into one, teaching PADI courses that run all the way from first-time beginner to full dive instructor. Instruction is offered in English and German.

Courses, service and days out

Beyond training, Checkers is a dealer and service centre for Aqua Lung, Suunto, Apeks, Hollis, Oceanic, Zeagle and Atomic Aquatics, handling regulator servicing as well as repairs to neoprene and drysuits. You'll find PADI TecRec, snorkelling and EFR first aid on the menu too, plus air fills, nitrox, mixed gas and a full range of rental gear.

On-site there's a training pool, classroom, retail shop, accommodation, food and drinks, free Wi-Fi and parking. When it's time to get wet, you can head to a nearby lake for the day, join trips to partner dive bases worldwide, or try whitewater kayaking and rafting — a great fit for groups and companies.
