Dan's Dive Shop, Inc.

Dan's Dive Shop is Canada's Oldest PADI Scuba School, based in St. Catharines, and has been delivering what it calls the most progressive diver training available in the country for over 50 years. It's a PADI 5 Star IDC centre with 15 PADI instructors, and divers travel from across Canada, the USA and beyond to train here.

Training and courses

The focus is on a modern approach to diving, helping divers improve buoyancy, trim, posture, air sharing and fin techniques. Alongside PADI Scuba Diving courses, the shop offers PADI TecRec technical training and conservation programmes, supported by an onsite training pool and classroom. Gas options include Nitrox, Trimix and mixed gas, and the centre is an Adaptive Services Facility.

Local diving centres on the Tiller Wreck, and the shop runs a dive boat as well as a dive club. Rental gear ranges from scuba and kids' equipment to rebreathers (CCR) and scooters (DPV), making it well suited to newcomers, families and divers ready to advance into technical diving.
