Exploramar Diving

Diving Ecuador's mainland coast begins with a name divers here have trusted since 1997. With more than 20 years in the market and over 5,000 certifications issued, Exploramar Diving is a PADI 5 Star Dive Center staffed by experienced PADI instructors, divemasters and marine biologists. The main dive center sits on the waterfront in Puerto Lopez, with a second office in Quito.

Courses and dive sites

The team runs a full PADI pathway — from Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver through Rescue Diver, plus Freediver training and half- and full-day dive trips. Eight PADI instructors teach in English and Spanish. Their speciality is the Marine Area of Machalilla National Park and Isla de la Plata, with dive sites including La Playita, Salango and Bahia Drake, where sharks, whales, turtles and ocean fish can be encountered.

Exploramar also backs marine conservation, supporting local research, education and protection efforts alongside their diving. It's a strong fit for divers of every level wanting to explore the wonders of Ecuador's coast.
