Haliotis - São Vicente Diving Center

Haliotis is a PADI Dive Center on São Vicente island, Cape Verde — one of the Atlantic Ocean's finest and least-explored diving destinations, home to an amazing biodiversity of marine life. Set inside the Hotel Oasis Porto Grande in the heart of Mindelo, the center offers a swimming pool for dive courses, a shop, equipment rentals and fast access to the marina.

Courses and diving

With 2 PADI instructors, Haliotis runs everything from a Try Dive PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience to Open Water referral programs and PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, alongside single and double dive trips starting from USD 54. São Vicente serves up wreck diving, night diving, drop-offs, caverns and even snorkelling with turtles.

Dive sites include São Macário, São Pedro, Sucenáqua, Ponta Ribeirinha and Djeu, where you might encounter sharks, whales, turtles, rays, eels, corals and ocean fish. On-site facilities cover a training pool and dive boat, with air fills, nitrox and equipment sales. Staff speak English, French and Portuguese — making it a welcoming choice for beginners and certified divers alike.
