KLM Sunshine

KLM Sunshine is a traditional Indonesian Phinisi, hand-built from wood in South Sulawesi, that has been carrying divers to remote dive sites around Pulau Bangka and Gangga since 2011. Designed by the owners of Blue Bay Divers Resort, it keeps things intimate — just 8 guests across 4 cabins — so the experience feels personal and unhurried.

Diving and Nitrox

This is a PADI dive boat running on enriched air (Nitrox), and it's a Nitrox-only vessel — so a Nitrox certification is required to dive here. If you haven't earned yours yet, you can complete the course at Blue Bay Divers Resort beforehand and step aboard ready to go.

Between dives, there's a battery charging station for your gear and cameras, plus fish ID and diving books to browse as you log what you've seen. The crew also organises land excursions such as snorkelling over shallow reefs and time on the beaches. English and Indonesian are spoken, with other languages on request — a natural fit for divers seeking a quiet, small-group journey to Indonesia's hidden corners.
