Plan this trip with AI →Tucked into Namae-ri in Yangyang-gun, on South Korea's Gangwon-do coast, Namae Scuba Resort is a PADI 5 Star IDC centre with five PADI instructors and more than 20 years of diving experience behind it. It's a place built by instructors, with a waterfront setting and its own house reef.
With 30 dive points on offer, there's range here for everyone. Beginners can ease in at gentle beach points around 10 metres, while technical divers have access to depths beyond 40 metres. Courses span PADI Scuba Diving, TecRec, Freediving, Snorkelling and EFR First Aid, supported by an onsite classroom. The dive boat sits less than a minute from the boarding point and is fitted with a lift so divers climb aboard safely, and the beach point is within walking distance. Underwater, you may encounter sharks, whales, turtles and ocean fish.
Facilities are tidy and practical, with drying racks, washing stands, air fills, Nitrox and Trimix, plus equipment rental. English and Korean are both spoken, making it a welcoming base for travelling divers.
