Norik Sub

Slovenia's largest dive centre

Norik Sub sits in Piran, on the grounds of the "Rt Madona" national monument, and bills itself as the largest diving centre in Slovenia. The best sites here are reached straight from the shore, with entry into the water directly in front of the centre — a house reef in the truest sense.

The building spreads over 200 m2 and runs year-round, with two large bathrooms with showers, hot water and changing rooms, plus two classrooms for teaching. As a PADI 5 Star IDC with 10 PADI instructors, the centre runs courses all year, from entry level right through to instructor and technical diving — PADI TecRec, snorkelling and EFR first aid included.

A retail shop next door sells dive and swim gear, and rental kit is available for anyone arriving without their own, in children's sizes as well as adult. Two compressors (520 and 240 L/min) feed a filling console via a 300 L air bank, so air and nitrox fills move quickly. Staff speak Slovenian, English and Italian, with other languages on request.
