★ 5 · Ardy van den Heuvel · 2009-08-17For the diving community: --> Dahab is awesome for marine and coral life --> Reef 2000 has its own professional-looking air filling station --> Safety is top, can't accentuate it more --> Resolution of probs, attitude --> Must-see sites include Blue Hole, Canyon, Bells --> Fun ? Cocktails ? Oh yeah.... the staff (Florian, Becky) and the instructors were happy to join me for very nice evenings in Dahab (they sure know the good spots :P) So yes, definitely an "A+" Management Response from David at Reef 2000: Just to say, it's nice to see the hard work pays off. Thanks for all the positive feedback guys. Keep flying the colours and hope to see you again soon. Dave and the Reef crew.
★ 5 · Linda Marsh · 2009-05-067 of us from Barnsley BSAC bought a 5 day dive package with Reef2000, April 14th-21st 2009. The instructors and dive leaders were really good and able to tailor our dive experiences to meet the different requirements of all the group, who ranged from newly qualiifed through to very experienced, some wanting depth and some wanting to take photographs. They also helped our newly qualified people get their weights and diving positions improved. Their recommendations on extra dives were great, especially the early morning dive - well worth getting up for. If we came back to Dahab we would definitely go with Reef2000 again. We started off with Adam a Dive instructor assisted by Ibi a Dive leader to assess our skill levels, after 2 days he was scheduled to train a new group and was replaced by Mo, a Dive leader. At first Adam went a bit fast but at our request for slower trip to aid sightseeing and photogrpahy he slowed down just right. He also passed on information about our skill levels to Mo who picked up on that and continued to help the three inexperienced people to improve. On a couple of easy dives we just had Mo but on any dive where there was a drift dive or where 4 of us wanted to go a bit deeper than the 3 Ocean Divers we also had Ibi to look after the other 3. We were very happy with how this worked. All the instructors were keen to make sure we enjoyed our stay in Dahab as well as the diving. We only used their cylinders and weights so can't rate equipment. We also cleaned our own kit - as it was ours. Storage was safe. The staff in the centre booking dives etc were also very helpful and friendly. One of the new divers said "I thought when I booked to go that 10 dives would be the absolute limit for me but I booked three more when I was there and it was fantastic." Finally we went quadbiking with Mo on the last night and it was great fun!
★ 5 · David Ainsworth · 2009-04-16We travelled as a family in April 2008 to complete our open water referral with Reef 2000. We were lucky to have Sabry as our instructor; he was calm, thorough, enthusiastic and friendly. The family really bonded with him and he had unlimited patience with the underwater mask removal exercise! A great teacher. Most of the diving we did in Dahab was shore based, but we did do a boat trip so that we could log the boat dive towards our advanced open water. Straight after completing our open water, we did 5 more dives to complete our advanced open water. We can't remember much about the marine life, reefs etc as we spent most of the time and concentration mastering our diving techniques, but I am sure it was excellent! We used our own fins, snorkels, masks etc but used Reef 2000s wet suits, BCDs and reg sets, which were all more than adequate in terms of condition and standard. There are so many dive locations in the world to visit, since qualifying as AOW in April 2008, we have dived in Belize and Kenya as well as circa 30 dives in the English Channel. One day we will go back to the Red Sea, and if we go to Dahab we would not hesitate to go back to Reef 2000.
