Rowand's Reef

Rowand's Reef Scuba Shop has been Vancouver's community dive shop since 1971, welcoming divers from its home in Kitsilano at 1731 West 4th Avenue, near Granville Island. A PADI 5 Star Dive Center with six PADI Instructors, it's a place where scuba and watersports adventures begin.

Courses and local diving

The shop offers a full range of PADI snorkeling and scuba diving courses, alongside PADI First Aid – EFR and hands-on conservation activities. Closer to home, divers head out to Whytecliff Park, where the waters host everything from sharks, whales and turtles to eels, molluscs and crustaceans, corals, anemones, jellyfish and ocean fish.

Beyond training, Rowand's Reef runs an onsite classroom, retail showroom and dive boat, plus air fills, equipment sales, servicing and repairs, and rentals for adults and kids. With a dive club, group dives and boat charters, it suits new snorkelers, students working through their certifications, and Vancouver locals looking for a community to keep diving with.
