SCUBA I

SCUBA I is a PADI Dive Center based in Hanam-si, in Namyangju, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. With three PADI Instructors on staff and instruction offered in both English and Korean, it's a welcoming home base for divers in the Gyeonggi area looking to train close to the capital region.

Courses and what to expect

The center runs the PADI Open Water Diver Course in Gyeonggi, starting from USD 475 and taking around four days to complete — a solid entry point for anyone earning their first certification. Alongside teaching, SCUBA I sells and rents scuba gear and runs a dive club, conservation activities, and travel options for members.

An onsite classroom, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, a retail shop, and parking round out the facilities, while a full rental range covers everything from BCDs, regulators, and dive computers to masks, fins, boots, and cameras. Open daily from 10:00 AM to 08:00 PM, it suits newcomers and local divers wanting a well-equipped, instructor-led base.
