Diving cruises in the Red Sea

Sea Base is a PADI dive boat operation based in Hurghada City, Egypt, specialising in organising diving cruises in the Red Sea. The focus here is on the human side of diving — encounters and sharing — and the team works to keep a warm, family atmosphere on board.

The operation is made up of 45 Egyptian employees, alongside Naïs and Nathalie, who are based in France. On board, all instructors are Egyptian and speak French and English, accompanying divers to share their passion for diving and the Red Sea. Between them the centre covers English, French and Arabic, so guests can be looked after in the language they are most comfortable with.

Facilities include air conditioning, the dive boat itself, onsite accommodation, and food and drinks. Services cover Nitrox, scuba equipment rental and a dive club, with PADI scuba diving and PADI snorkelling on offer. Rental gear runs from BCDs, masks and snorkels and 5mm wetsuits — children's sizes included — to regulators, dive computers and aluminium cylinders in both 15L / 100 cu. ft. and 10L / 71.2 cu. ft. sizes.

It suits divers and snorkellers who want quality dives in a safe, friendly setting, and French or English speakers looking for a liveaboard-style Red Sea experience with a close-knit crew.
