SMY Ondina

Designed by a diver for divers, SMY Ondina pairs an authentic feel with modern comfort and safety. Launched in 2001, she is a traditional wooden Phinisi built in South Sulawesi by the seafaring Bugis tribes, using time-honoured craftsmanship and tropical hardwoods. Based in Sorong, she ranges across Raja Ampat, Cenderawasih, the northern Banda Sea, Triton Bay and Halmahera — itineraries that navigate the heart of the Coral Triangle, home to the planet's richest marine biodiversity.

Diving and who it suits

As a PADI dive boat, Ondina caters to divers of all levels, from beginners to advanced photographers, with enriched air (Nitrox) available and an experienced crew offering flexible yet professional service tailored to individual needs. English, Spanish and Indonesian are spoken on board.

Accommodating up to 16 guests, the eight air-conditioned cabins have en-suite bathrooms, with three generators supplying continuous 220V power through European-style sockets. On board you'll find warm-water showers, a battery charging station, and fish ID and diving books for identifying your finds.
