The Dive Shop

Established in 1967, The Dive Shop sits in Calgary, Alberta, nestled amongst the Rocky Mountains. It's about as land-locked as you can get, but a quick drive to the mountains gets you into the water in no time. As a PADI Five Star IDC and PADI Freediving training facility — complete with a fill station, service centre and fully stocked showroom — it's a place built around one simple idea: we really love diving.

Courses for every level

With 12 PADI Instructors and its own Course Director, The Dive Shop teaches it all, from snorkel lessons and Discover Scuba Diving through Freediving and Instructor Development. The philosophy is to focus on safe diving practices, keep diving fun, and get every student into the right gear.

Training happens in an on-site pool kept nice and warm, with a sloping bottom and a small drop-off that makes it ideal for learning. It's fully stocked with rental gear so each student feels comfortable and successful. Courses are taught in English, making this a welcoming home base for Calgary's water-loving community.
