About Torpedo Rays Scuba Adventures

Torpedo Rays Scuba Adventures has been part of Halifax's diving community since 1997, and today it stands as Nova Scotia's #1 PADI 5 Star IDC. With over 20 years of serving the Maritimes and a team of 20 PADI Instructors, it has built a reputation that reaches well beyond the East Coast — grounded in quality teaching, safety and, of course, plenty of fun.

Courses for every kind of diver

This is a place to start from scratch or push much further. The centre teaches the full range of PADI courses, from Discover Scuba and Open Water right up to Instructor level, alongside specialities, safety courses and freediving. Recreational, technical and freediving communities are all catered for, with English-speaking instruction and rental equipment renewed every year for comfort and safety.

Divers explore an impressive spread of local shore sites around Halifax and Nova Scotia — among them Paddy's Head, Mill Cove Beach, Birchy Head, Cranberry Cove, Polly Cove and the HMCS Saguenay — with waters home to sharks, whales, turtles, ocean fish, eels, molluscs and more. On-site you'll find a classroom, retail shop, air fills, Nitrox and parking, making it a natural home base for East Coast diving.
