Vietnam Explorer

Founded in 2004, Vietnam Explorer is the oldest dive centre on Phu Quoc island. It's a PADI Dive Center with 10 PADI Instructors, and it's known for keeping groups small and private — letting divers enjoy the scenery in a relaxed, unhurried setting. The team draws on long experience around Phu Quoc and a detailed knowledge of the island's dive sites.

Courses and who it suits

Whether you're trying diving for the first time or building qualifications, there's a clear path here. Options run from PADI Discover Scuba Diving (from USD 118) and a Dive Package (from USD 102) to the PADI Scuba Diver and PADI Advanced Open Water Diver courses (each from USD 588), up to the full PADI Open Water Diver Course (from USD 627).

Underwater, the waters around Phu Quoc are home to sharks, turtles, ocean fish, eels, molluscs and crustaceans, and more. With staff speaking English, French, German, Vietnamese and Russian, the centre suits both newcomers and certified divers looking for a calm, personal day in the water.
