Yanica Scuba Club: diving with purpose on the Togolese coast

On the shores of Togo, Yanica Scuba Club welcomes divers of every kind — sport divers, recreational enthusiasts, professionals, and anyone simply curious about the underwater world. Its team brings together instructors from varied backgrounds, and that diversity is very much the heart of what the centre offers. Beginners and experienced divers alike are guided as they explore the Togolese coastline.

Training sits at the core of the club's mission. Recognised as a PADI Diving Resort for West Africa and accredited by the Ministry of Sports and Youth, Yanica teaches within the FFESSM/CMAS and PADI systems, with PADI instructors on hand and an onsite training pool and classroom to build skills from the ground up.

Marine encounters here can include sharks, whales, turtles, ocean fish, eels and more. Just as importantly, this is a community with an ecological conscience — running local seabed clean-ups, monitoring marine life, and partnering with researchers to protect threatened species. Scuba equipment rental and parking are available, and the team speaks English, French, and Italian.
