Staff were all kind and helpful from the beginning of our stay and even had option to have a packed breakfast prior to early morning dive. The room we had was the sea view deluxe room with 3 single beds, it was spacious for the 3 of us and comfortable beds, the interior of the room was modern with a patio directly in front of the room. The resort itself is beautiful, with lots of plants and flowering trees, also it had easy access to the beach and even a short snorkel to the area with baby black tip sharks. Bear in mind there are stairs on both sides of the resort so be wary with heavy bags, although staff kindly helped take bags to our room. In terms of the diving we had 2 fun dives included with PADI and then also contacted Thresher Shark Dive to add on Nitrox course. The dive centre is under 10mins from the resort and upon arriving we were met with our instructor Marvin. Honestly the diving was Fabulous with a capital F, Marvin especially, is fun and engaging with an unforgettable personality and is an amazing guide. Even at Kimud Shoal, which is a very busy dive site, Marvin managed to make the dive feel peaceful and quiet and we managed to find sharks whilst moving away from the massive groups of divers. He also had a gift for finding the smallest interesting things and we were lucky enough to see one of our groups bucket list items (a blue ring octopus), which Marvin went out of his way to get videos of for us. Malapascua has amazing diving and so much to see but Marvin managed to make an incredible experience even more unforgettable. Highly recommend Blanco Beach resort and Thresher Shark Dive!
★ 5 · Steven S. · 2025-07-16Everything was wonderful from the hotel staff to the dive shop. I highly recommend it. The only downside is the food options. For a dive resort, it would be great if they offered better meals that are prepared earlier in the morning. Since the food is made the night before, it tends to become soggy by the time you pick it up in the morning.
