★ 4 · Annabelle w. · 2025-08-26The hotel is fairly basic with no balcony or freely accessible outside space. There is a terrace however this is part of the restaurant so you would need to buy drinks or food in order to sit here in the evening despite it not having any customers most nights. The included breakfast was good quality with lots of choice and friendly servers that bring hot tea or coffee on request. The restaurant never seemed to have anyone in outside of breakfast and we were unable to find a menu anywhere. However the area has lots of restaurants within walking distance that we're very affordable and tasty and an amazing ice cream shop Sugar. The dive centre and beach is a 2 minute walk from the hotel down a set of steps under the tram line. The beach was nice and had a good beach bar, there are free cold showers or you can pay for a token for a hot shower. Toilets for the beach by the dive shop didn't have toilet seats and often ran out of toilet paper as well which was a shame. The dive centre however was absolutely fantastic, all the staff were so friendly and enthusiastic about the underwater history and archaeology to show you. We brought our own equipment however they do also hire equipment from the centre which all looked to be a very good condition and is all Mares high quality equipment. The archiological park itself is fascinating and so beautiful to explore at relatively shallow depths so good for beginners and less experienced divers as well as more experienced divers wanting to get awesome underwater videos and photos. The dive centre also offered deeper and more adventurous dives further out from the bay on their dove boat which would be great for more experienced divers. We did 5 days of diving (10 dives total) and with one of the dive sites closed due to a recent earthquake it did mean that we went to some of the sites twice but this was still good as the second time we got to look out more for the sea life and saw several octopus hiding under rocks and various other interesting sea life. Was a great place to go as a couple but they also cater to single divers and large groups.
