★ 5 · Benjamin P. · 2021-09-09We dove with the Reef Coco Beach team for 10 dives. Nothing but good things to say about every last one of them. I personally had chickened out on the boat for the first dive. They took the time later that day, off the books, to get my head back in the game by going to the pool at the resort to work through the basics and work through what caused my panic. Made every Discovery Channel quality dive after. Baby sharks, moray ells, 6' turtles, 7' sting rays... the list of amazing things we saw felt endless. Be sure to hit Cozumel and the senotes while you're there!
★ 4 · Harald S. · 2020-01-07The divebase itself was really nice, the staff friendly and patient. But the organisation offers room for improvement. The morning should boat leave at 8 o clock am, we were on the boat at about one hour later. We borrowed fins and put them in equipment boxes, the next day we had others with diffrent sizes. On the boat we noticed that, there were no others for replacement. Nor they had extra weights. About the boat: there were no lifewests... Overall every boat ride was wet and it was nearly impossible to set up the equipment during the ride. The afternoon dives we cannot recommend! Because of the snokel tours during lunchtime the dives starts too late and offers sites which are not nice (close to the base, not typical carribean!). The hotel itself was pretty good for our dive travelling but not in best conditions. Some maintanace is necessary. The beach would be nice but directly in ront of the beach is the marina area. You do not see the sea - you see a lot of small boats (wouldn't be necessary because there would be more than enough space left away in front of the endless long public beach?! There is a small area marked ti go into the sea for swimming.
