★ 4 · Daniel Van Gool · 2023-02-05I had a great experience aboard the Palau Siren. Things that clearly stood out: - Quality and experience of the dive guides - Spacious, nice rooms - Well-equipped and well laid-out dive deck with personal storage space for equipment etc - Great service ahead of and after dives (water/drinks brought out before and after, warm towels presented after each dive, etc.) - Really enjoyed the outdoor seating for meals - great way to enjoy the outdoors and not having to sit inside, while also shielded from the climate when needed Some comments: - My big issue was the fact that despite being advertised, there was no wifi. I am fine being disconnected for a week if I know it ahead of time. But the booking website said (and still says) that there is "high speed satellite wifi" available. This isn't true. They offered the use of a 4G hotspot for $50, but there was only very limited cell coverage so most of the time, the hotspot was unusable. Again, this itself is not the issue - the fact that internet was falsely advertised was - The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't particularly great either - I've had a couple of much better experiences on other liveaboards. Not a reason I wouldn't go for a repeat trip though - it was good enough - Liveaboards I've been on with other companies have not charged for alcohol. Not a big deal for me, I don't actually like drinking alcohol on dive trips, but certainly something to take into consideration if it's important to you
★ 4 · Michael Weiner · 2022-12-23Staff, food and dive sights were excellent. The divemasters were exceptional and one can have a truly wonderful experience. The boat itself is showing it's age and the cabins are certainly acceptable. The common areas, including the dive-prep areas are a bit crowded. Overall, I do recommend the Siren.
★ 5 · Jeff Krone · 2022-10-05Wonderful diving, boat and crew. Highly recommend the trip. Eric the cruise director made sure everything went as planned. Libor & Jordan were excellent dive guides & Jazz was an excellent skiff driver. We were greeted after every dive by Ann & Christine our hostesses. Kudos to the crew for making this adventure safe & fun.
