Hotel Costa Paradiso

We stayed at Hotel Costa Paradiso for a scuba diving weekend, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The hotel was immaculate, perched perfectly atop rocky hills with a stunning view overlooking the deep blue water. Every morning, they serve a delicious breakfast in their restaurant, which features a breathtaking panoramic view of the ocean.

The team on the sea was so nice and professionals. But in the office if you paid for extra dives you cannot do because of the weather ... you loose the money :-(

My son (17) and I just got back from spending a week learning to dive and diving at the Diving Center Costa Paradiso, which was absolutely fantastic! Location - the dive center is right next to the water on the point at Costa Paradiso. It makes it super super convenient for diving - our first dives were from the coast, literally just meters from the dive center. We chose to stay at the Hotel Costa Paradiso just above the dive center, which was a really lovely place. Not super luxury in terms of the rooms, however the staff were incredibly friendly and the location and overall vibe was amazing. Most days we did a couple of dives in the morning, then used the afternoon to explore the beautiful towns and villages nearby - if you plan on staying in the Hotel Costa Paradiso, I highly recommend hiring a car for this reason. Diving - the diving we had over the week was really amazing, the visibility was incredible and we were able to see a lot of different wildlife - octopuses, lobsters, moray eels, scorpionfish, nudibranch were highlights along with many more cool creatures. Learning - we came to this holiday with no experience whatsoever in diving, a part from having done the PADI e-learning in preparation for the Open Water certification. Nico, our dive instructor was beyond awesome - truly one of the coolest, most patient guys you will meet. He made the whole process of learning super stress free and honestly made it a pleasure to learn. I think it shines through when you have a teacher that really loves their subject and this is for sure true for Nico... super awesome. People - I can't stress enough just how cool the whole team was at the DCCP - Rico, Nico, Mingo, Ste and Mon made us feel so welcome, like part of a super happy family for the week. They are clearly very knowledgeable about diving, made us feel extremely safe at all times and most importantly conveyed their love for diving to us - we're totally hooked and planning our next dive already. If you're looking for a place to learn to dive, or just to dive, I can highly highly recommend the Diving Center Costa Paradiso.
