Aalesund Dykkersenter A/S has spent 41 years shaping the diving scene in Trøndelag, Norway. What began in 1980 as a diving school and shop on the north side of Ålesund harbour — on premises with a dive shop history reaching back to 1972 — moved across the sound in 1991 to its current home at the bottom of Brunholmen. Four decades on, it remains a PADI 5 Star Dive Center committed to being a serious, dependable presence.

Training and diving across Sunnmøre and Romsdal

Generations of recreational divers have trained here, and the centre has helped start several diving clubs around the district. It has also organised diving in the city's harbour basin — the harbour clearance from 1988 and the popular Diving's Day treasure hunts engaged many divers, including members of partner club Nordvest Diverklubb. Trips to warmer destinations, at home and abroad, remain part of the story too.

With an onsite classroom, a retail shop and air fills available, and staff speaking English and Norwegian, it suits divers who value thorough, unhurried instruction. Urgent courses are simply not their style.
