Alex Salamander Diving holds a rare distinction as the first and only PADI-certified dive centre on Rodrigues Island — one of the Indian Ocean's last truly unspoiled diving destinations. While Mauritius draws the crowds, Rodrigues stays pristine, with reefs that are rich, uncrowded, and largely unexplored.

Courses and dives for every level

The centre runs the full range of PADI courses, from Junior Open Water through Open Water and Advanced Open Water. First-timers can try Discover Scuba Diving, while returning divers can brush up with a ReActivate refresher. Certified divers head out on guided reef dives, the Twin Reef Dive across two sites, or the 3-Day Rodrigues Reef Discovery. Guided reef diving starts from USD 84.

With an onsite training pool, dive boat, and equipment rental, the team caters to snorkellers, freedivers, and photographers alike — there are even dedicated underwater photo and video packages. Staff work in English and French, making it a welcoming choice whether you're a seasoned diver or stepping into the ocean for the very first time.
