Alternative

Founded in 2012, Alternative is a PADI 5 Star Dive Center (S-23962) based in Moscow — a rating given to centres that excel at teaching PADI courses and promoting diving. It sits within walking distance of Aviamotornaya metro and just two minutes from the TTK ring road.

Learn from pool to open water

The centre runs a full training cycle in-house, from its own heated, well-treated diving pool to open-water exams — with no need to transfer students elsewhere. A team of 3 PADI Instructors covers all areas of recreational diving, offering programmes including PADI Scuba Diving, PADI Mermaid, First Aid (EFR), Conservation and Adaptive Diving. Instruction is available in English and Russian.

Alternative suits both beginners and more experienced divers. On-site you'll find a training pool, classroom, air conditioning and parking, plus services such as air fills, Nitrox, and scuba and kids' equipment rental. The centre also operates its own dive base near Shchyolkovo on the shore of the Ameryevsky quarry.
