AQUAVIT IZUOSHIMA

Tucked away in Shizuoka, Japan, AQUAVIT IZUOSHIMA is a PADI Resort dive centre with its own accommodation set aside exclusively for divers. That means no fixed check-in or check-out times and almost no shuttling back and forth — you stay close to the water and let the day revolve around diving rather than logistics.

Diving and services

With one PADI Instructor on hand, the centre runs PADI Scuba Diving and PADI Mermaid courses alongside a conservation focus. Air fills, Nitrox, scuba equipment rental and Scooter (DPV) rental round out the support, and the local waters are known for encounters with sharks, whales, turtles, ocean fish and more.

Onshore you'll find air conditioning and free Wi-Fi, with English and Japanese both spoken. It's a comfortable fit for divers who want an easy, stay-and-dive rhythm — whether you're training toward a course or simply logging more time underwater.
