Atlantic Edge Scuba

Atlantic Edge Scuba is the Mid Atlantic's largest PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Center, serving Maryland, DC, and Virginia for over 33 years. As the official scuba store for the National Aquarium, the center has partnered with the Aquarium to introduce divers to the Atlantic Coral Reef exhibit for over 20 years. With 15 PADI Instructors on the team, it welcomes both adults and children looking to take their first breaths underwater.

Courses and where you'll dive

Training runs the full PADI path from Try Diving through Instructor. The Learn to Scuba Course, from USD 499 and roughly one day of eLearning and pool training, is offered across pools in Gaithersburg, Frederick, Annapolis, and Baltimore. Confined-water sessions take place at spots including Juturna Springs, the National Aquarium in Baltimore, the Arlington Pool, Hood College's Huntsinger Aquatics Center, and the Annapolis YMCA Pool.

On-site you'll find a classroom, retail shop, aquarium deep pool, and parking, plus air fills, equipment sales, and rental gear. It's a natural home base for new and continuing divers across the DC region.
