Atlantic Star

Set on one of Cape Verde's finest beaches on the island of Sal, Atlantic Star Nautical Center is a PADI dive center where a team of qualified boat skippers and four PADI instructors introduce newcomers to the water and help experienced divers sharpen their skills and technique.

Courses and dive sites

As a PADI 5 Star IDC, the school runs internationally recognised courses across seven options — from Discover Scuba Diving and PADI ReActivate to PADI Scuba Diver, Open Water Referral, Advanced Open Water Diver and Open Water Diver E-learning. Local diving is wonderfully varied: explore caves in search of resting turtles and large stingrays, drop onto Soviet shipwrecks, or slow down over fantastic macro sites.

Divers here can encounter sharks, whales, turtles and ocean fish. The waterfront base keeps everything close, with an onsite training pool and classroom, free Wi-Fi, a dive boat, air fills, equipment rental and onsite accommodation. Staff speak English, Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese, making it a welcoming choice for first-timers and returning divers alike.
