Bananarama Resort & Dive Center

Bananarama Dive Center is a PADI 5 Star Resort and Instructor Development Center set right on West Bay Beach, Roatan, Honduras, a short beach walk from neighbouring hotels and guesthouses. With a team of 5 PADI Instructors, it offers a relaxed, friendly take on Roatan diving built around small groups, safety, personalised service and flexibility — and English and Spanish are both spoken.

Diving and courses

Regular dive trips run within the Roatan Marine Park, taking in South side sites, Night Dives, trips to Marys Place and Shark Dives. Local dive sites include Front Porch, Butcher's Bank, Hole In The Wall, El Aguila, Overheat Reef, Green Pearl, Canyon Reef, Bear's Den, Melissa's Reef, Pillar Coral and Blue Channel. Roatan is famous for its wall dives, sheer drop-offs and giant sponges, alongside drift dives, wrecks and reef full of crevices, canyons, swim-throughs and coral gardens.

Divers regularly encounter turtles, rays, moray eels and a huge diversity of reef fish, with sharks, whales and manta rays among the wider sightings. Facilities include an onsite classroom, free Wi-Fi, a dive boat and food and drinks, plus air fills, Nitrox and scuba equipment rental — a natural fit for anyone wanting experienced, personable guiding on the reef.
