About Barracuda Diving Center
On the east coast of the United Arab Emirates, where Fujairah faces the Gulf of Oman, Barracuda Diving Center has been introducing divers to one of the Middle East's most rewarding underwater regions since it first opened in January 2010. Centrally based inside the Fujairah International Marine Club, this PADI 5 Star Dive Center is staffed by 5 PADI Instructors, with English spoken throughout.
Courses and the diving
From PADI Scuba Diving courses through to technical PADI TecRec training, the center suits both first-time beginners and experienced divers visiting the UAE. On-site you'll find air fills, Nitrox, equipment sales, a retail shop and a dive club, along with a dive boat, parking and air-conditioned comfort.
The local waters are famous for dramatic walls and drop-offs and an abundance of plankton that draws whale sharks, manta rays and turtles. Martini Rock, covered in brightly colored corals, urchins and starfish, teems with barracuda, snapper, tuna, seahorses, clownfish and lionfish, while nearby wrecks shelter rays, dolphins and angelfish. Night dives glow with phosphorescence.

★ 2 · Alan LUCAS · 2011-10-20OK -I may be not long back and have to say there are a few issues here - it is not a company I could recommend, especially to a beginner. It was not until the third day of diving that a guide allocated a buddy, until then I had been sorting myself out with other Brits - The equipment was OK, the boat alright but the outfit would not last a month in the Red Sea - Briefing was ' We go in at the back, swim to the front and go down the line' water was available for purchase> Typical of the standard was the 2nd day we dived - we were given kit, weights etc but a German did not have enough weights. There were none on the boat and so we had to return to the harbour to get some more, then they were still 4kg short and we had to all adjust to make the dive happen! If you have a buddy, all well and good. But a single diver like myself, be carefull.
