★ 5 · amy thomas · 2011-03-22After completing our diving classwork in Cinti, I asked our Dive shop to recommend a PADI location in Belize. I got 3 suggestions. I researched all 3 on this site as well as Trip advisor and reviewed their web sites. In spite of the review from 2 years ago listed below, my husband and I chose Belize Diving Adventures, because of a reference I read where Enes provided personal service to give the best diving experience. Why go off the beaten track to Belize and end up on a boat with 20 other divers? Not for us. Great Family vacation with Belize Diving Adventures. My daughter and I did our 4 open water dives, with Everett while the rest of my more experienced divers went out with Daryl. My son has been diving for years and he claimed that Everett's dive briefings were the most thorough and complete he had ever encountered. Being a rookie, I was encouraged and assured by Everett's explanation of each step before the dives. All staff members were polite, professional and friendly. Everett and Enes explained the dive sites and history of the island. The boats were roomy, clean and ran well. On a 1 week vacation we dove 45 times. Each day, the next day was explained when we would be picked up, the timing and what to bring, everything ran like clockwork. We did our 4 open water, a 3 dive trip to Blue Hole, dove Hol Chan, snorkled Shark Ray Alley and then did a night dive at Hol Chan. We will be returning to Belize again and will dive only with Belize Diving Adventures
★ 4 · Devin Wilson · 2011-04-22I had a great time diving with Belize Diving Adventures. Their staff was very knowledgeable and accommodated all our whims. They never filled their boats with excessive amounts of people unlike many of the other dive shops in the area.
★ 1 · Mike Hedberg · 2009-06-21“Terrible Dive Operation” Belize Diving Adventures Wyoming Michael, Casper, Wyoming May 26, 2009 My wife and I went diving with these guys for 3 days. The first 2 days weren't bad, but then it got way bad. On our trip to Turneffe, they stacked everybodys dive gear in a pile on the bottom of the boat while they changed tanks (mine happened to be on the bottom). They had my brand new (less than 13 dives) regulator laying in the saltwater, with the dust cover off. I told Everett the dive master, "his tip would go for servicing the regulator". When we finished the trip, they unloaded the weight pouches and didn't put one pouch back into my wifes brand new BCD. I called the dive shop as soon as I realized they had misplaced the pouch. The next day they tried to give us a old piece of junk pouch that belonged to my friend (at least she got her gear back). They said they would make it right but quit communication as soon as we were gone. Long story short: They are going to get someone hurt with equipment they ruined or lost. Very Disgusted PS - This was my 7th dive trip to Belize in 3 years and have never had this problem. There are some really good dive shops in San Pedro, this just isn't one. Management Response from Enes Ramirez General Manager Belize Diving Adventures: This is what I have to say about Micheal. Micheal's wife lost her weight pouch on a dive. I can't say which dive she lost it but according to micheal the dive shop was to blamed. The next day after the trip he came to the shop ranting and raving about it is the dive shop's fault that his wife dive pouch was missing. Finally to placate him I told him that I would replace the weight pouch since he was disturbing my business. (I had guest inside the side trying to book some tours) 2 days after he lefted the island I got a rude e-mail from him saying that the type of pouch was almost in existant and that I would need to replace his wife bcd. I responded telling him that we found pouches that matched his wife bcd and I sent it to his home address for him. We have a policy in our dive registration form that states that " I am (divers) responsible for their own dive gear personal or provided by the operator. It is my intention, by this instrument. to exempt and release Belize Diving Adventures Tours and related persons, from all liability whatsoever for personal injury, property damage or loss, or wrongful death" This registration form is signed by every diver before a dive tour. After 10 years in the diving industry Micheal is the first person behaving the way he is. I am totally disapponted in him and he made me feel that he was scamming for a free dive vacation. I appreciated this website giving me a chance to say my side of the story because I feel that Micheal has a personal vendetta against Belize Diving Adventures. I will forward an e-mail from a guest that I had in the shop at the time of his attack to me. Thank you
