Belize Underwater - Thatch Caye

Set on Belize's Southern Barrier Reef out of Hopkins, Belize Underwater at Thatch Caye is a PADI 5 Star Dive Resort built for divers of every stripe. With PADI 5-star instructors on hand, it caters equally to first-timers learning to snorkel or dive and seasoned divers chasing something more exciting.

Courses and diving

The centre's two PADI Instructors and certified dive masters guide you toward the best of the reef, offering PADI Scuba Diving and Snorkelling instruction along with PADI First Aid (EFR) training. Expect a wide variety of ocean life and coral structures, from magnificent walls and grottos to coral patches and caves.

Facilities include an onsite training pool, free Wi-Fi, a retail shop, a waterfront location and a dive boat. Air fills and Nitrox are available, along with full equipment rental — including dive computers and kids' sizes. English is spoken, making this a well-rounded base for snorkellers, students and experienced divers alike.
