Billed as Northern Michigan's premiere PADI dive center, Beulah Outdoors runs two locations — one in Beulah and one in Frankfort — with a rustic vibe summed up by its motto, "Gear up and Wind Down." The waterfront setting even includes a taproom pouring a continuous rotation of Michigan's finest craft beers.

Training and services

The center specializes in PADI instruction, gear and repairs, with 4 PADI instructors on hand and an onsite training pool and classroom to learn in. An adaptive services facility, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi and onsite accommodation round out a well-equipped base. Divers can pick up air fills, nitrox, equipment sales, and rentals covering scuba, kids', freediving and scooter (DPV) gear.

Beyond courses, Beulah Outdoors hosts conservation activities, a dive club and travel, plus a dive boat and retail shop. Marine life in these waters includes sharks, whales, turtles, freshwater fish and others. English-speaking and open daily, it suits new and returning divers alike who want instruction, gear and good company in one spot.
