Blue Ocean Diver

Blue Ocean Diver is a small but welcoming diving club based in Wien, Austria. Registered as an association, it brings together around 60 members who share a passion for the sport — a friendly, community-minded home for divers rather than a large commercial operation.

Training and courses

As a PADI Dive Center, the club runs its training to PADI guidelines, so every course leads to a globally recognised certification card. Courses combine a theoretical part with practical sessions — the first in the pool and the second in open water — with the number of practical dives depending on the certification level. A team of 8 PADI Instructors places particular emphasis on safety, a valid diving medical certificate and thorough education.

Rental equipment is available on site, and tanks are filled using the club's own compressor. With affordable dive courses and a supportive club atmosphere, Blue Ocean Diver suits newcomers looking to earn their first certification as well as members who want an active, safety-focused diving community in Wien.
