Blue Ocean House

Tucked into the rugged scenery of Orchid Island (Lanyu) in Taiwan, Lanyu Blue Ocean House is a dive center known for vibrant marine life and crystal-clear water looking out over the Pacific. It's a welcoming base for both seasoned divers and beginners, set against a backdrop of lush greenery and traditional Tao culture.

Diving and courses

As a PADI 5 Star Dive Resort with 8 PADI instructors, the center runs PADI Scuba Diving and Freediving training, including the Advanced Open Water course. Divers can explore a range of sites around Orchid Island, each with its own topography, and head out after dark for night diving. Underwater encounters can include sharks, whales, turtles and plenty of ocean fish.

On land, you'll find an onsite classroom, retail shop, dive boat, onsite accommodation, food and drinks, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi and parking. Services cover air fills, equipment sales and rental, and scooter (DPV) rental, with English and Mandarin spoken — and a clear commitment to sustainable, community-minded diving throughout.
