Bordemer

Tucked into the Rhône-Alpes region, Bordemer is a diving school based in Lyon and recognised as a PADI 5 Star IDC Resort. It welcomes divers of every level, from first-timers discovering the water to experienced divers sharpening their skills — or simply enjoying a relaxing dive. Training takes place in the quarries at Chamagnieu, around 30 minutes from Lyon, and in lakes such as Annecy and Le Bourget.

Courses and what to expect

The centre runs a full PADI course line-up, including the Open Water Diver Course, Advanced Open Water Diver, Enriched Air Diver, Emergency First Response, and the ReActivate Scuba Refresher for those returning after a break. Prices start from USD 66, with the ReActivate refresher running roughly three hours and longer certifications spanning one to two days.

On site you'll find an onsite classroom, an Adaptive Services Facility, parking, and a waterfront location. Services cover air fills, nitrox, mixed gas, and full equipment rental, including kids' sizes. Bordemer suits anyone in the Lyon area looking to start, refresh, or build toward diving abroad.
