Bubble Ring Divers

At the southernmost tip of Honshu in Kushimoto Town, Wakayama Prefecture, Bubble Ring Divers is a PADI Resort shaped by the Kuroshio Current — one of the world's leading warm currents. Its waters host a remarkable mix of around 1,300 species, with diving that ranges from sheltered close waters to open ocean, and from macro subjects to schooling fish, dramatic topography and wide-angle scenes.

A sea for every season

What sets Kushimoto apart is how it changes through the year. Spring opens with the spawning of bigfin reef squid, early summer brings the spawning of other fish, and summer fills the water with schools. In autumn the fish are at their densest, while winter rewards divers with crystal-clear water and spectacular terrain.

With 5 PADI Instructors offering PADI scuba diving and snorkelling, plus air fills, nitrox, and scuba and kids' equipment rental, the centre suits beginners and veterans alike. A dive boat, parking, air conditioning and free Wi-Fi round out the facilities, and staff guide in English and Japanese.
