Buzos de Baru

Based in Cartagena, Colombia, Buzos de Baru is a PADI 5 Star Dive Resort with more than 19 years of continuous operation, positioned as one of the best diving schools in the city. Its team of qualified PADI instructors and trained personnel handles both teaching and guiding, favouring long dives to the most beautiful spots the day's weather allows.

Courses and diving

The centre offers a full PADI course lineup — Discover Scuba Diving, Advanced Open Water Diver, Wreck Diver, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Enriched Air Diver, Underwater Navigator and a Referral Course — alongside a Half-Day Dive Trip. Training begins in the onsite pool and classroom before heading to sea, with English and Spanish spoken.

Divers can choose from more than 30 different sites, including Alex Places, imelda, la virgen, palitos, octubre rojo and cuevas. The area is known for coral in very good condition, excellent visibility most of the year, comfortable water temperatures and 7 sunken boats, with plenty of reef fish, turtles, rays and other marine life to see.
