Calypso Divers of Tampa Bay, LLC

Welcome to Calypso Divers of Tampa Bay — a proud PADI Five Star Instructor Development Center and Aqualung Partner Center working out of Tampa and St Petersburg. With over 35 years of experience and a team of 14 PADI Instructors, this is a crew that puts quality teaching, safety and genuine fun at the heart of everything they do.

Courses and diving

As a PADI 5 Star IDC, the center runs the full ladder of PADI training — from Scuba Diving and Snorkelling to First Aid (EFR), Public Safety Diver and Adaptive Diving, alongside conservation programs. An onsite training pool and classroom make it an easy place to start, while local outings head to Hudson Grotto and Lake Denton.

Facilities include an Adaptive Services Facility, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, a retail shop and parking. Rental gear is renewed every 2 years, and the shop offers air fills, equipment sales, and rentals down to kids' sizes and Scooter (DPV). With English and Spanish spoken and a friendly dive club, it suits new and returning divers alike.
