DDS Duke Diving Service

DDS Duke Diving Service is a PADI Resort based in Shizuoka, Japan, guiding divers mainly around Nishiizu Kumomi. With two PADI Instructors on the team, the centre responds to each customer's requests — from complex topographical spots and cave diving to the smaller wonders of sea slugs, shrimp, and crabs.

Who it suits

Individuals, beginners, and those returning after a gap in experience are all welcome. Female staff are on-site, so women can come on their own and feel at ease. Simple accommodation facilities are available, along with free Wi-Fi, and there's full rental free for two boats (dry suits not included).

Divers can expect Nitrox and scuba equipment rental, with marine life around the area including sharks, whales, turtles, ocean fish, and more. Staff speak both English and Japanese, making it an approachable base for exploring the waters of Nishiizu Kumomi.
