Dean's Dive Center

Dean's Dive Center has been a local staple for divers in Southwest Florida, and the shop in Fort Myers still works the way the best neighbourhood dive centres do — training, gear and guided diving all under one roof, run by people who know the water.

Training and guided diving

As a PADI 5 Star Dive Center with 10 PADI instructors on the team, the shop covers the full path from open water certification through advanced, rescue and specialty courses to professional-level instructor programs. The PADI Enriched Air Diver course is on the schedule, and nitrox fills are available in-house. Certified divers can join guided trips to reefs, wrecks and natural springs off the coast, including the wreck of the USS Mohawk and the coral reefs of the Gulf of Mexico, or head to Venice Beach for its shark-tooth diving. Sharks, whales, turtles and ocean fish all pass through these waters.

Back on land there's an onsite classroom, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, a retail shop and parking, plus equipment sales, rentals and repair services. English is the language spoken, and the centre's community focus — dive events, workshops and social gatherings — makes it a natural fit for both locals and visiting divers.
