Discover Diving

At Discover Diving in Portsmouth, training is the heart of everything. As a PADI Instructor Development Center with Course Director Jeff Haskell on staff, the centre offers the complete PADI curriculum — from a casual first taste of scuba through to professional-level training for those aiming at a career underwater.

Courses and what to expect

The teaching line-up spans PADI Scuba Diving, PADI TecRec, and PADI First Aid (EFR), supported by a team of four PADI Instructors. Learning happens on-site at the centre's own training pool and dedicated classroom, both air-conditioned, so divers can progress comfortably from the basics toward advanced and technical goals.

Beyond instruction, Discover Diving is a full-service shop. You'll find equipment sales, scuba and travel gear rental, air fills, and Nitrox, plus a retail shop and on-site parking. With its PADI 5 Star IDC rating and English-language instruction, it suits everyone from complete newcomers to wreck and technical divers chasing the next certification.
