Discovering Scuba

Based in Cork, Ireland, Discovering Scuba is a PADI Dive Center built around personal attention. Whether you're taking your first breath underwater, refining your skills or simply want to go diving, the team is there for every step, offering bespoke teaching through 1-1 instruction or very small groups led by their PADI Instructor.

Courses for the whole family

This is a place that treats diving as more than an adults-only pursuit. Programs welcome kids as young as 8, so families can explore the ocean together. The flagship Open Water Diver Course runs from USD 1054 over approximately 5 days, alongside PADI Snorkelling and PADI First Aid (EFR) training.

Most confined and open water sessions take place around Oysterhaven, Roberts Cove and Dooneen Pier, with Oysterhaven a favourite local dive site. The waters here host sharks, whales, turtles, ocean fish, molluscs and crustaceans, corals, anemones and jellyfish. With instruction in English and a patient, tailored approach, Discovering Scuba suits complete beginners, returning divers and families alike.
