Dive Funatics

Dive Funatics is a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Dive Resort (PADI number S-25403) based in Mactan, Philippines. With a team of five PADI instructors, the centre teaches a broad spectrum of PADI courses and specialty options, believing in proper training, best-practices sharing, and continuous learning to get the most out of every dive.

Courses and who it suits

The line-up runs from entry level all the way to instructor level and beyond. Try-dives start with PADI Discover Scuba Diving (from USD 98, around 3 hours), while structured paths include PADI Scuba Diver, PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, PADI Rescue Diver, and specialties such as Peak Performance Buoyancy, Enriched Air Diver, and Dive Against Debris. Instruction is offered in English, Tagalog, Cebuano and Hiligaynon.

Divers reach the house reef and the Kontiki Marina site, where marine life ranges from sharks, whales and turtles to eels, molluscs, crustaceans, corals and anemones. On-site facilities include a classroom, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, food and drinks, and parking, with Nitrox and equipment rental available. It's a solid fit for beginners and progressing divers alike.
