Dive New World Center

Set on Orchid Island in Taiwan, Dive New World Training Center has been introducing divers to the underwater world since 2007. As a PADI 5 Star IDC centre, it's built around teaching — from Kenting diving introductions and entry-level courses right through to professional development, with the stated aim of giving students a fun, interesting and safe place to learn.

Courses and specialties

The centre's strengths lie in Dive Instructor Training and Technical Diving Training, offering PADI Scuba Diving and PADI TecRec pathways guided by a PADI Instructor. An onsite classroom supports the coursework, while services span air fills, Nitrox, Trimix, mixed gas and CO2 scrubber absorbent — everything a progressing or technical diver needs to keep going.

Rental and sales cover the full range, including scuba equipment, rebreather (CCR) and scooter (DPV) options, so you can try specialised gear on the water. Beneath the surface, the marine life around Orchid Island includes sharks, whales, turtles, ocean fish, eels, molluscs and crustaceans, plus corals, anemones and jellyfish. Instruction is offered in Chinese.
