Dive Timor Lorosae

Set right on the waterfront in Dili, Dive Timor Lorosae is the oldest existing dive shop in Timor Leste (East Timor) and the country's only PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Center. The center sits directly on the water in front of the DTL Guesthouse, with a fringing reef running along the northern coast that's easily reached from shore — often starting just a few meters from the water's edge.

Diving and courses

Around 30 known dive sites are accessible by land, with new ones still being discovered. Favorites include Dili Rock West and Franks Crack, where divers may encounter sharks, whales, turtles, ocean fish, eels, molluscs, crustaceans, corals, anemones and more. The team of three PADI instructors covers everything from scuba and freediving to First Aid (EFR) and conservation, all taught in English.

A 9-meter fiberglass boat carries up to 10 divers with seats, tank racks, shaded space and safety gear. On land you'll find an onsite training pool, classroom, retail shop, air and nitrox fills, equipment rental, accommodation, food and drinks, free Wi-Fi and parking — a well-rounded base for divers of every level.
