Dive World Austin

Dive World Austin bills itself as Austin's premier scuba shop, built around personalized instruction and small classes. It's a one-stop resource for scuba, freediving, spearfishing and snorkeling, with air fills, nitrox, equipment sales, and both scuba and travel gear rental all handled onsite.

Courses and who it suits

As a PADI 5 Star IDC backed by 20 PADI instructors, the center offers private, semi-private and group or troop courses in English. It specializes in educating youth divers — Scouts, 10 and 11-year-olds, families and scuba camps — making it a natural fit for newcomers and younger divers alike. Training happens at an onsite pool and classroom, so learners build confidence before heading further afield.

Dive World Austin is the only PADI Green Star award dive center in Texas, weaving conservation through everything it does and teaching divers how to protect local water systems. The shop also runs freediving and mermaid programs, with a retail floor, air conditioning and parking rounding out the facilities.
